Our President David Blacklock has been involved in a wide variety of capacities in the development, product design, manufacturing, distribution and marketing of Proprietary Wood Products in North America for over 35 years. The Parent Company was established in British Columbia, Canada in 2001. Having been a visitor to the Islands for decades, his first major project in Hawaii was in 2007 at the Ritz Carlton Residences and Carlton Club in Kapalua Bay, Maui. Over 15 years later with his fingerprints on a multitude of Signature Commercial Projects the company was Incorporated in the State of Hawaii, and our Honolulu office was opened in 2019.

Hale-Wood Architectural was established as an addition to the core Commercial Market, now with particular focus on the Single-Family component of the Residential Construction Arena. Hale-Wood will continues to utilize its own network of manufacturing capabilities and capacities but augment them with local infrastructure in distribution and customer service. We have enhanced our ability to provide concise data to our machine centers utilizing LIDAR Jobsite Scanning Technology.

Hale-Wood’s success in the Commercial Market has been predicated on providing cost-effective, solution-based marriages between aesthetic intent and superior product costing and performance. We have continued to expand that basic premise in the Single-Family Market.

Our many years of experience in the Hawaiian marketplace has educated us on the culture of doing business, the impacts of climate on product performance, the nuances of distribution, attitudes of installation, and importance of reputation, relationships and integrity. Our history is strong, and we remain enthusiastic about the future.
